Being an old city fan I always expect us to fuck it up. It's in my DNA.

If we were on for winning the quad and had a champions league final against Latvian Pig farmers to do it. I'd expect us to lose 1-0 thanks to an Ederson OG.
Guess its easier to be positive once you've seen your team do it multiple times. When its new territory then theres cause for concern.

We aren't as good either however hence them being closer
They have vastly improved and now should be seen as challengers again.....if we don't respond they go past us. If we get them in a cup game it's now 50/50

We ain’t as good this season for a reason it’s our one year of transition oh look we still second still in fa cup still in champs league!

Scum been in transition for 10 years spent shit loads and been actually shite! Half a season of being about where they should be with all this transition and some think they are back! It’s a wait and see for me!

Literally having this discussion with other Arsenal fans. Subjectively, we've been the best team in the league so far and are top, but the media is going on about Utd like they've won the quadruple. It makes me think if we do win the league, will the media be sucking off Utd for their title charge and league trophy?

Now I know how you felt when the media kept banging on about Liverpool every season.
The rags have probably had equal media coverage to the scousers despite being a laughing stock, if you were to win the Prem (which is unlikely :-) ) a Rags Carabao trophy will outshine it everyday of the week.

The pessimism and paranoia never leaves you if you are a City supporter that has seen everything before 2008. Even now there’s the belief something can always something can go wrong, we probably have the best owners in the league for what they have done transforming the club. Then we have the Premier League trying to take them on and demote us to the Northern Premier league. We were called the soap opera club in the 1990s, in a way we still are now.

Look, we may be playing well but I've never seen this team at this stage of the season go on to win all of their remaining games. I still dont know if our team has it in us to win every remaining game from now til the end of the season. I'd be more at ease if you lot found some form and were pushing us so if we slip up its not those rag cunts who will win it.
I,ve a good pal whose a big Arsenal fan, hes adamant your going to bottle it and is more than happy that you've had a decent season compared to previous years.

Southern Tarts :-)

Spot on, who else has had a keeper done for time wasting in the first half. :-) from here on in anything can and no doubt will happen, all we can ask as Citys fans is that we give it 100%.

The rag's have always been the same, end result is all that matters, their aim is to stifle opposition play, kill the game. Doesn't make for good watching, unless you're a brain dead rag. Only recently Brent Di Cesare said he'd take any win, any way. Compare that to Pep who encourages player's of both team's to play expansive football, irrespective of the result. He's always said play the right way and the results will come. Personally I can't stand the kick and rush, hoofball the redshirts churn out every week.
I've always said this.

They have a win at any cost attitude and its only the result that matters.

Even at their most successful under GPC they never played enthralling, expansive all out attacking football (despite what the media hyperbole would like people to believe) it was always a case of stifle the opposition first then hit them on the break with speedy wingers and forwards.
