I‘ve never complained about City’s success or the amount they spent. Good luck to you. I’ve always been against the flawed concept of FFP because it’s an anti-competitive tool to keep out ambitious clubs from crashing the elite clubs’ party. For the same reason I won’t begrudge any success that comes Newcastle‘s way. I think anyone fair minded would agree with me. And anyway, success is not down to money alone or otherwise MUFC would still be dominating. You need a good structure, a smart strategy and talent not just on the pitch but off it also. Maybe the Glazers might finally see the wisdom of that? As for City, not just the football side but the regeneration of parts of east Manchester should be commended as well.
Excellent. A rare moment of an intelligent non partisan ‘other team’ fan, knowing that ffp is a stitch up and knowing the concept of investment.
Makes a really pleasant , albeit rare, change to the usual crap knowledge spouted by ‘other fans’ /media

… Oh, I don't know why she's leaving
Or where she's gonna go
I guess she's got her reasons
But I just don't want to know
'Cause for 24 years
I've been living next door to Alice. :)
When the men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know

So over the last 38 Premier League games, the equivalent of an entire season, my admittedly dodgy maths has it that they are 41 points behind us (96 to 55)
That’s an average of more than a point a game, which is MASSIVE

Their goal difference is even worse - they’re 81 behind us (76 to minus 5).
That’s an average of more than two goals a game, which is even more MASSIVE.

Lads, we’re basically playing a different sport

Anyone buying the Rags would need to stump up anything between 3 - 5 billion, they would then have to rebuild the team and undertake major improvements on the ground. Say they found someone to do this they then need the invester to commit to not taking any dividends from the club or else the Zebra pants will be out again.

Good luck finding that.

Their listing on the stock exchange in the long run has been the biggest problem for them.
Laughing stock exchange.

Was thinking along these lines on Sunday night pal.
But the rags in work won't even make eye contact with me this week so I didn't bother trying it with them.
"Bantz" in work is on hold at the moment but will quickly be restored once they pick up 3 points if past experience is anything to go by.

Its incredible. We start every game on average with more than a point and more than two goals head start on them. They really didn’t expect this when they were classlessly lording it over us with their banner
