All those players you mention in the first sentence apart from McGuire will need replacing and that’s going to cost. They will need a transfer fee of around £30m for Sancho to cover his amortised value at the end of the season, Dortmund won’t play over the odds and the player could ask for compensation as his wages will be significantly less in Germany.

I don’t think any club will pay even half Anthony’s fee and again his amortised vale at the end of the season will be in the region of £55m.

They’ve fucked if they don’t get in the CL but you can bet Masters (aided and abetted by the Redshirts) will be trying to come up with some sneaky rules that allow the Rags to rebuild outside the current framework as long as they’re not in Europe. Let’s hope other Clubs will see any changes in the PSR rules don’t just benefit the Redshirts and are adopted for good business practices, limiting debt would be a great start.

The Turkey’s voting for Christmas has seemingly come home to roost.

The jury is still out on Onana as well on top of that list, then you also see they are looking at giving contract extensions to Lindlehop who is no where near the level to be a top defender in the Premier League.

Apart from maybe Fernandes, Shaw and Rashford there isn’t much talent to build around and even that’s at a push. They might throw a youth team player into the mix but they don’t produce them at the level City do.

Playing staff wise their hands are tied with huge wages and players they won’t recoup much money for. It will take years maybe even decades to get some momentum going to build a title winning side. The only hope they can cling to is the likes of Pep and Klopp won’t be here in 2026.

Varane leaving on a free, Casimero they are looking to offload after us all being told he was better than Rodri last season. Sancho playing at Dortmund whilst the rags top up his wages, Martial now banished from the first team squad. Maguire now back at first choice when they wanted him gone in August.

Would anyone give them half the money back they payed for Antony? Then you have fake Haaland with his two premier league goals this season. Also the forgotten man Mason Mount that can’t be trusted to start a game. That’s 8 players listed that have bombed, it’s nearly half a squad. They really can’t get any type of cohesive player recruitment going can they?
It's great, isn't it?

Many of us said at the time that this didn't add up, and questioned how someone allegedly worth $1bn was going to find $5bn without incurring huge debt. Here's an extract from the article:
Sheikh Jassim arriving as a suitor for a club valued by the Glazer family at more than $5bn raised eyebrows at the time, with questions asked as to whether he had sufficient money or whether he was the frontman for a bid funded by the Qatari state.
Does anyone recall The Guardian, Sky, the BBC or anyone else asking that question consistently or demanding answers regarding the funding?

Me neither.

It's visible in plain sight, more & more kids from that world famous academy on the bench and starting with dare I say none of them anywhere nearby Lewis/Bobb level.

The shock of it all, not that he hadn't really in the scheme of things had a pot to piss in but, that you're surprised that it wasn't looked at by MSM.

Spending money is the easy bit. United are proof of that. When people say its easy to be winning leagues when we spend so much, they couldnt be further from the truth

Anyone can open a cheque book, buying the right players is the genius bit

The driving range is excellent and I'm glad they've fucked them off. Sometimes see that streak of piss David Gill there, I can confirm that his golf is as good as his team's football, which is shite.
Rumours are the Driving range will include
* a hard shoulder for GPC
* several lampposts for Saint Fishcake.

18 more holes to go with the similar amount found in their defence every week.

Rashford ? He's crap - most of their fans want him out

It gets funnier, and funnier. They are now looking at buying a golf course to use the land from to develop a new training complex. They have already sounded out High Legh Golf Course. They say " the course in Knutsford ticked many boxes, including it`s close proximity to the homes of many of their players". Well one box it ticks is that it`s not in Manchester, and nowhere near their ground.
Smacks of desperation at wanting to be City.
Bloody hell don't want those twats anywhere near my preferred garden centre.

Yup thus highlighting the talent available in their current squad. It’s going to take a miracle to turn them around they are that bad and they are still keeping going with Ten Hag. They should sack him and get their third most successful manager in their history back Mourinho.

He’s playing badly, and looks disinterested, but he’s not a bad player. Multiple seasons with over 15 league goals from the wing, lots of stand out performances and goals, chips in with plenty of assists.

His form being so up and down is obviously because the club is always yo-yo-ing. The last 5 years they’ve gone 2nd, 6th, 3rd, 2nd, 6th lurching from “it’s our year” to “sack everyone now!”

Rashford is IMO the clearest incident of a very good player who just needs to leave United since Daley Blind and Zaha.

He’ll probably leave in 2/3 years and have a big late career renaissance while United fans scratch their heads.
