A friend in Manchester.......oh the irony

That's really bizarre.

We've got blues from all over the shop in here, but to casually use the phrase "a friend in Manchester" is another level of detachment, it's like me saying I've a friend in Timbuktu, it tells you....

A. I've never been to Timbuktu

B. I've no clue what goes on in Timbuktu.

C. No one else in here has a clue what goes on in Timbuktu.

We should confess that we're all on the Abu Dhabi payroll, and that's why we're here.

That £500 in a brown envelope that the Sheikh puts through my door every Tuesday comes in right handy. It's always nice to see him stop outside in his Rolls with his entourage - the neighbours are very impressed as they think he's a mate of mine.

Only £500 a week. You need to ask for a raise mate, the rest of use on here are all paid much more than that.

The ones I find most repulsive are some of their African, Indian and South East Asian fans who really believe that sickening accusations against Greenwood and Giggs are trifling and nothing to get worked up about and both should be welcomed back with open arms. Many claimed that they were simply domestic disputes and thus no one else's business.

Some comments of CAF were so bad that other Utd contributors were embarrassed and called them out.

It's a cultural thing I suppose, but it doesn't make it less vile.

This is a map of countries where marital rape is legal (red). Most of the comments you described come from people in red countries. They just don't see incidents like Giggs, Greenwood (or the other players arrested for similar crimes) in the same way as us.

So when they sign this new keeper, would that be 3 or 4 players that the manager has signed, having worked with them at Ajax?!Nobody seems the slightest bit concerned that he seems insecure and needs his friends with him, either that or he has a serious lack of imagination!Besides,..were that Ajax team really that good?!

I must admit I hadn't noticed that. He's the 21st Century version of Howard Kendall at City back in the 90's when we became Everton reserves.
Can't wait now until he signs the Ajax equivalent to Adrian Heath & Wayne Clarke!

You maybe right, but it's a real advantage to settling in when the assistant coach is fluent in their own language, too.

Wow. I’d say that’s over half of the world‘s population - and the fastest growing half !
Hadn’t realised that.

It's actually worse than it looks on the map because you have quite a few countries like Sudan - the big green country in East Africa - and Niger where it's technically illegal but never actually prosecuted.
