Hard to believe, but someone with sense posting on the cafe

"The table doesn't lie. We got what we deserved. We didn't go out solely because we lost tonight. We went out because we played badly more often than we play well over the span of six games. As late as about an hour into the game in Istanbul we still had a great chance to progress. We didn't.

We can blame referees, we can blame mistakes, we can reach for all sorts of excuses. However, if over the course of six games you can't get it done, that's not coincidence that's your level. We are not good enough for the Champions League and we'd probably get battered by the first good Europa League team we would have faced. As Liverpool may demonstrate at the weekend"

About as fair an assessment as you'll get.

The reality is they were moments away from ending up with 2 points if not for a penalty save in the last minute of the only game they did win.

They're way off this level.

Just imagine if Copenhagen had scored their penalty at the Swamp.
The rag shits would have just 2 pts to show from their 'group of dearth'

There will be be a black market for blank sick notes to be sold outside Carrington this week
The players will be queing up for them, and forging their mums signature to hand in to Erik
Bruno got in early, Maguire and Shaw booked their week off last night who else wants out?
Surely they can wait till anfield and have them professionally done and thrown onto the coach en route?

At least they’ll be no more sycophantic vomitous commentary for a while, and how the fcuk they can still refer to that dump as the theatre of dreams is cringe at best .
Did 5 minutes of bt comms last night and the shite they came out with was ridiculous. Turned over to Supersport and Alan Smith told it like it is.

Oh, there will be. There will be. The fact that the rags are not playing has never stopped the commentators from continuously squeezing them into the dialogue.
Remember that cnut Tyler? It wouldn't matter what game he was commentating on, a couple of non-leaguers in an early FA Cup game and Tyler would be mentioning the rags within 30 seconds of his commentary starting. And throughout the rest of the game he would bring some totally fucking useless piece of trivia in just to mention them ("I have it on good authority that David deGea likes crisp-sarnies." Or "Did you know that no team with the letter 'D' in their name has beaten the rags by more than a single goal since Easter 2016?"

Televised football in this country that doesn't make glowing references to them every couple of minutes doesn't exist.
