That's a good shout. There is no reason they would automatically stay in Trafford other than the adjacent land (is that all in Trafford or perhaps some is over the border in Salford). But don’t be surprised if Manchester City Council are working behind the scenes quietly to get soundings off United with an option to build a new stadium somewhere in Manchester. Manchester City Council would love to have both City and United located in Manchester, not only for the prestige of it, but for regeneration, jobs created, and the money it would bring to the council.
