I’d never heard of Rasmus Hojlund before this post.

I’ve just looked him up; there’s no way that he is going to be United’s main striker, surely?

Hojlund has scored one goal every four matches playing in the Danish, Austrian, and Italian leagues. He makes Anthony Martial (one in three) look prolific. His name sounds a bit like Haaland if you say it quickly though.

The resigning of Evans is hilarious on so many levels.

He was the man, who was sent off on 23/10/11, thus enabling, at least in part, the Sick Swan, a day that both City supporters and rags will remember for as long as they live, but for obviously different reasons.

As has been previously mentioned in this thread, JFE has been relegated TWICE since he left the shithole in Trafford. Now,,relegation isn’t always a reliable marker of a player’s ability, but it’s not a great recommendation.

Bringing JFE back to the swamp shows how far the rags have fallen. It seems that there is not a lot of money swilling around in the coffers at rag central, which for TWGC is extremely embarrassing, and for the rest of us, extremely amusing.

Evan's had bad injuries at United and was in and out of the team. Never really had a proper long run at it. He went out to West Brom, where he did the hard yards, learned his trade amicably as a solid, ball playing defender. He stats back this up. Pep Guardiola tried to sign him for City in 2017 & 2019 but he stayed at Leicester where he was guaranteed first team football.

Bringing him in as 5th choice center back is a masterstroke, because he is the consummate professional and he wasn't exactly on the scrap heap, he was playing in the PL last season, and he is still Northern Ireland captain. If our youngsters cannot learn from someone who has played 500 professional games then we are in the wrong business. Oh, and he is free.
