But seriously this can’t be one of very few Mancunians that actually support the filth. They know that t-shirt would go down well with Cityfans.

Robson was a very decent player but as you say, not the sharpest ! Like many footballers of his time he was a bit of a piss-head. I was born in 1955 and have no memory or mental picture of any kind about Duncan Edwards’ football ability.

“Bit of a pisshead” is a serious understatement! I was playing in the Isle of Man tournament early 80s and the rags reserves/recovering injured (Robson, Buchan, Macari from memory) were in it too. Robson was propped in the corner of the bar in Douglas casino at 2am with 2 very fit women on his arm and I have never seen anyone down pints and whiskey chasers at such a rate. Didn’t seem to have any effect on him either. Brought to mind the “where did it all go wrong….” quote

He used to frequent (a lot!) and then own a bar/club in Radcliffe too. Obviously loved the nightlife.
