United Thread - 2023/24

Since United won the treble...
Rome is on its third pope, America its fifth president, Britain its seventh prime minister and.... United their ninth manager.
Actually, no. I couldn't sleep last night. Why do you ask? :-)
And all three have told the Rags to fuck off!

It’s almost been 10 years since Pep taught Ten Hag his principles of football. He doesn’t seem to have evolved since then.

Arteta is a similarly intense guy who learned everything from Pep 5 years ago. It’ll be interesting to see if Arteta develops or becomes Ten Hag in 5 years.

Pep evolves constantly. The others are always playing catch up.
Mourinho learned by watching Bobby Robson. There was another Chelsea manager that followed the same route.

But they both only learned a certain part of the game.
Mourinho blagged his way to the top. Coupled with the gift of the gab. He became successful.

Ten Haag and Arteta have pretty much done the same with Pep.
But to really grasp what Pep is teaching. Needs imagination and constant problem solving. And much more.

They can certainly copy what they learned whilst at his side. But like you say…. Pep’s evolved. And keeps evolving lol

Good point, nothing in that statement rules out a loan.
Exactly… the key words are telling.

‘REBUILD his career AWAY from Manchester United’…. Then what? Come back when it’s all died down? Scum bag and scum club

And he's had squads that soak up his coaching like a sponge.

Local news were suggesting that the issue that has sent him on his way wouldn't be an issue for England. His England selection is over, done, finished. I think his football career is pretty much concluded. Which team will mount a PR campaign that meets with universal approval?

So? You don't become a rapist at the stroke of a judge's gavel, you become a rapist when you force someone who have sex against their will. If there's not enough evidence to convict, you're still a rapist. If the woman never reports it, you're still a rapist.
Good point. Jimmy Savile was never convicted of anything.

Greenwood is a twat, to this day still claiming he did nothing wrong. Yeah alright mate, little scrote.

Fully expect him to pull on a West Ham jersey at some stage because that's the sort of scumbag club that will take him on. Or he can go to Saudi, they even encourage that shit over there. Backwards cunts the lot of them.
Why single out West Ham?

Seen this play out so many times.

You have an immature girl in love with a dominant man.
The abuse starts slowly and he keeps getting away with more and more.

That is until the day he goes too far. She snaps and goes public. The police get involved.
She spills the beans and he gets charged.

Not long afterwards, he becomes all apologetic and professes his love for her. "It will never happen again...."
Because she loves him, she wants to give him a chance. But she knows the police won't be happy.

Suddenly, a statement comes out that it was all a mistake/misunderstanding. She doesn't want to press charges.
The Police are helpless as they very rarely pursue "wasting Police time" with alleged abuse victims, as they know it won't actually help the victim.

As to this case:

I've heard they have said recording was just "role playing". If this was true, she would be wasting Police time. (read above why they won't charge)
This could be the new evidence United are referring to.
United cannot sack him without a conviction. But for publicity reasons, they (now) don't want him at the club.
So their only option is to get him to agree to leave. He is still a United player on full wages, so either a loan or sale is the best for both parties.
He only agrees to this because United use their publicity machine to declare him "innocent" and a "shame" he cannot stay.
Basically he was told agree or you're on your own. If you want to continue playing somewhere, this is your only option.

All stinks to high heaven...

That statement tells me they're going to loan him out for now, with every intention of retaining him as an asset.

They're hoping he goes somewhere and scores enough goals that they can either get a big fee, or even try again to bring him back.
Nail on head
