Gate receipts are generally a small percentage of a clubs income these days, surely giving them inferior opposition televising all games and ensuring they win the competition would generate more profit? Its a revenue issue, that's how desperate they are.
I read somewhere that they make 4.5m per home game. So around 60m in profit. Its a revenue issue, that's how desperate they are.
Try tossing a coin to get 12 consecutive heads or tails on the bounce, probably take the best part of a full day to achieve. You’ll fail many times between 2 x toss of the coin to 11 x coin tosses and every number in between before eventually getting the 12 consecutive spins. You could shorten this exercise by getting 4095 mates to help, between you statistically one if you should do it first time.Every draw is 50/50 home or away think we had 7 on the bounce at home but 12 is something else it's a record
League Cup, let’s say 70k tickets at £50, 3.5m plus corporate, however the away team and the host trouser 45% each of the ticket sales less operating costs, police, security, etc, probably nets them around 1.5m plus TV rights that are shared.I read somewhere that they make 4.5m per home game. Although, I find it slightly unrealistic, that a club that has to bring 4 goalies to a CL game, because they haven't got enough players to fulfill the squad criteria, is able to infiltrate domestic cup draws for a home advantage.
You give them way too much credit.
Gilbert O' Sullivan is re-recording his classic song, with a new title....Just seen cup draw home game again lol Fook off
I wouldn't have thought the away club gets any percentage of corporate. The seat is probably valued at £80 which would be shared, but the rest of the cost for dining etc won't be sharedLeague Cup, let’s say 70k tickets at £50, 3.5m plus corporate, however the away team and the host trouser 45% each of the ticket sales less operating costs, police, security, etc, probably nets them around 1.5m plus TV rights that are shared.
Completely different for Premier League games where they keep the lot.
December is what will sink him.

They'll lose 4 or 5 matches in a month, draw a couple more and he'll be fired over the January break.
Merry Christmas.
I would imagine that’s correct.I wouldn't have thought the away club gets any percentage of corporate. The seat is probably valued at £80 which would be shared, but the rest of the cost for dining etc won't be shared
So a home draw to Newcastle is more favourable than an away draw to Mansfield?
Your giving United to much credit by basically asserting they can beat anyone at home!
The previous record (which of course United shared until yesterday) was 11 home draws for League One Shrewsbury Town in domestic cup competitions between 2017 and 2019, so presumably you believe that has to be fixed as well?
A number of different people have drawn United out as the home team including some with strong connections to City, but your asserting that all of them were told they must draw United at home and what system was in place to enable them to do it and they all just went along with it?
It‘s never as black and white as guaranteeing they’ll win every home game, but the rag ball is drawn first as the home team, so whether they then get Newcastle or Mansfield probably isn’t known, but it’s subtle to try and give the cash cow an advantage.
Rather like refs waving play on when teams kick fuck out of Bernie or Jack, then stop us in our tracks if we so much as nudge an opponent. It can‘t be proven as blatant cheating but it’s these little things that go their way and against us to give them a hand.
What are the odds when it gets to 13?Odds are 4,096/1, let that sink in.
They know which ball United is so instead of picking that ball as a home team, pick them as soon as an inferior team is drawn out? Or apply whatever hocus pocus they have to the United ball to Mansfield's as well? It‘s never as black and white as guaranteeing they’ll win every home game, but the rag ball is drawn first as the home team, so whether they then get Newcastle or Mansfield probably isn’t known, but it’s subtle to try and give the cash cow an advantage.

Of course the reality is that the consecutive home draws started later in 2017 than this draw! But just like fans of other teams when discussing our FFP allegations don't let the truth get in the way just twist it to prove the required narrative!
