And every story prefixed with a reference to them being "Britain's biggest club." As long as they keep that 'title' the trophies are irrelevant to the Glazers and the media.

I am sure the GPC is really worried about that as he collects his £2m a year pension as club ambassador.

On the rare occasion they do something that gets good publicity the narrative is that the "Boss" will have had a hand in it.

Just ever so slightly in united's defence I think this claim that the club tried to cover up Anthony's violence toward his partner by sending a doctor out to treat her doesn't necessarily stand up... all big clubs do literally everything for their players these days, especially foreign signings.

It's entirely plausible that Anthony phoned the club and requested for them to arrange for a private doctor to attend to his partner, it's surely none of the clubs business what she was requiring treatment for and the doctor would be breaking patient confidentiality if he was to report back to the club anything at all about the reason for their visit.

With all this negative news on United surely they could find a City angle,and lo and behold our friendly City reporter at the MUEN Bajowski reminds us of the PL case which apparently will shape the landscape of future football. He has no updates of course and knows as much as I do and predicts it will take years citing some sports lawyer in Sheffield. As we were!

One thing for certain - never believe anything you read about ManU's finances.

The NY market was closed on Monday and then on Tuesday 7.5M A Shares were sold ( appx 13% of the tradeable shares ) knocking the trading price down by 20% to a low point of $18.50. When ManU announced the possible sale of the Company on 21/11/22 ( share price then $13 ) , over the next 3 days the share price soared to $21 and the entire holdings of tradeable shares were sold /traded. The holders of the A shares made a nice profit as a result of the announcement !.
The Glazers had previously converted 10M of their B shares to the tradeable A shares and sold them on the market at appx $15. If the Glazers value ManU PLC at $10 Billion , this indicates a share price pf $60 so I am surprised that they would be selling off shares at $15/20 when they anticipated the sale of the club which could double or treble the value of their shares.
Personally, I never believed the club would be sold , for the simple reason it was highly unlikely that there could be a potential buyer out there prepared to pay ( even ) $4 Billion for them. Why would a serious potential buyer ( Qatar / Ratcliffe ? ) be strung along for so long with the ridiculous deadlines and ever increasing reported valuation of the club.
I admit to being concerned to seeing the Glazers funding Ten Bob's spending spree in the transfer market ( surely there must be a genuine buyer of the club coming in ? ) Recent events suggest that there is no White Knight coming to their rescue. They seemed to be working on the prospect of offloading Maguire/Sancho/Bailly/McWhotsisname and the rest of the dead-wood to bring some cash in and reduce the wage bill.
It'll be interesting to see what the share price does over the next few days.

Isn’t it illegal to sell a significant amount of shares at their peak value to drive the price down then almost immediately buy them back at a lower price?

Possibly, but I find it hard to believe Anthony has phoned and simply asked for a doctor to call, if the allegations she had a breast implant displaced are true I would imagine its pretty uncomfortable/dangerous and requiring more than a paracetamol, she and he would surely have been in a state of panic when he's contacted utd - much more to this than we're currently aware of. Not like we can have any faith in the rags being honest and open about events is it, time will tell.
