Yep. 100%. That's all it was: a PR stunt, as phoney as you can get. Players from other clubs -pro/amateur- do a great deal more than Rashford does for charities but they don't get the rag-loving media to hype it up all the time.A bloke that is so unprofessional that he goes on the lash for 2 days making himself unfit to play is no role model, that is the real Rashford not someone with a brilliant media team feeding the starving
My local non-league club do all sorts of things in order to raise money for different charities: abseiling, bungee jumping, having their heads shaved, etc, but not even the local paper mentions it: it's just featured in the match day programme.
Not just sports, either. Celebrities everywhere earn money for charities but we don't get to hear about half the time, so why does Rashford get all this publicity - it couldn't possibly be because of the club he plays for, could it?
