Historically they've been a mid table club.

City were a much bigger club for many years.

Without the plane crash, government money, Webb and City's benevolence they'd be the stretsal Charlton Athletic.

I remember 5 or 6 wins on the trot at Old Trafford and the next being a draw in the bell Lee Summerbee era.

Didn't we have a higher points total until the mid 80's?
 
According to Google united only actually had around 1000 employees in the UK, I'd assumed they had quite a lot more than that when I heard scruffy Jim had got rid of 250 staff.

To slash any workforce by 25% in one fell swoop is a very drastic action.

Unless there were some serious piss takers and deadwood behind the scenes they're surely going to suffer repercussions of such a major cut in the workforce.
