The other year the PL relaxed some of the UEFA FFP rules in regards to wages at a critical time when the Rags had key players contracts up for renewal and needed to spend heavily in the transfer market. It stank at the time but was never brought up by the media why the PL decided to do this.
But just look at how the Rags failing UEFA FFP was brushed under the carpet with the entire media backing them and saying they only just failed it without any figures being released
