I’ve just seen an advert for an evening with captain cripple at Turd Moor, claiming that he was the greatest club captain in English football.

Here’s what I put as one of the comments:

"The greatest club captain in English football?
Don’t make me laugh. He was injured all the time.
If he was that great a captain, why did the rags never win a league title, while he their was captain?"

I doubt that will go down very well.

If it’s that drunkard robson your talking about I remember on spitting image in the 80s they had a robson puppet with bits of him falling off every 10 seconds

Robson was in the same league as Darren Anderton: a malingering, freeloading sponger who rode on the backs of every colleague he was on the pitch with.
Didn't he have to have a specially-made medal because he didn't qualify for a real one, he hadn't played enough games or something?
We used to call him 'glass shoulders.'
