I'm no expert on tactics, but there were many occasions in that game tonight where Amorim had a flat back five. And they were marking nobody, because Leicester were all in their own half, so you had 10 Leicester players against 5.

Even with my rudimentary skillset, I know that 5 players are not going to overcome 10. Which is why they can't even muster a shot on goal. They can't even get the ball into the penalty area, because the opposition will snuff out any attempts to play it down the channels, and they will outnumber in midfield. Every time Mainoo received the ball, he had 3 Leicester players tackling him. This is really basic stuff, but it doesn't seem like the penny is dropping.

It is like watching a weird experiment, but the bunsen burner has set fire to the curtains, and the roof is on fire.

"Amorim? Not for me, Geoff."
And yet they still managed to fluke their way to another undeserved win, as ever entirely thanks to a combination of ineptitude in front of goal from the opposition and a helping hand from PGMOL

I know it’s been said a thousand times but it really is uncanny how many decisions or Penalties go for them (and Liverpool)

Over the last 2 years , the Rashford goal against us, the Grealish handball in the cup final, the Coventry winner in last years semi, tonight against Leicester…that’s without even having to think too hard.

I know all teams get the odd one but not on the consistent basis that United (or the Scousers) do.

Whilst we hate them and remember the ones that go for them, they have had a few stinkers go against them themselves. Their league position shows they aren't getting much help from anyone. For every Coventry goal (which was still offside even though it was tight) in that same game Coventry got a penalty for a much lesser handball than Grealish against United (an example which you believe went in their favour)

It is what we do as football fans and last nights was a shocker, the lino needs addressing as that was clear as day. I just don't see a big push on them as what seemed evident a few years ago. Breaking prem records for pens, trying to keep them relevant. I think if there was a push on bringing back their success, the powers that be have given up on them.

At work (major Supermarket chain) we have on newsstands a special Denis Law tribute paper. Every day I ensure the top copy on display is open at the page featuring his glorious back heel v the Rags. It’s the little things that keep me happy in life.
Excellent work.
Top Berting.

On Friday, the ITV main commentator claimed that Man Utd and Liverpool were England's 2 biggest clubs. I wonder what you thought about that? It annoyed me but it's probably still true. City have a growing support in Manchester, England and the world. I've been watching the South American u-20s in Vnenezuela and at half-time the cameras zoom into the crowd, and I have seen loads of Argentinian fans with City shirts. No Utd. I also know international students who chose to study in Manchester because they supported City but at the same time I think that becoming a football fan is a generational thing. Man Utd and Liverpool were easily the most popular clubs at school when I was growing up. Football fans don't change colours, they might stop going. I think many blues stopped going but came back after the takeover. Man Utd and Liverpool became popular over decades of success and City have seen large growth in our fanbase. We can fill the Etihad with new fans for Cup games against Salford when maybe 75% of season ticket holders don't show up and that's because City's support amongst 6-18 year olds has exploded in Manchester over the last 15 years because we have been the top side in Manchester ever since 2012. But if City were 13th and played Leicester on a Friday night, we couldn't get a crowd of 73k. No way. So reluctantly I have to accept than Man Utd are still bigger than City but the gap has closed during the last decade. It will close again when the new stand opens.
