My belief is that the 130 charges were demanded by them and Masters agreed. He had to or he would not have got the gig.

Don't dispute any of that. But the idea that the PL tell the refs what to do is just ludicrous.

They’re like posts off RAWK or Red Cafe, where they rant, cry and moan that every single ref is on our books. The FA, PGMOL, the media and so on and so forth.

If as a fan I genuinely had that mind set and it wasn’t just noise, I’d find another sport to bother with.

Why is it ?
All the top-table people in companies give orders and everybody else around them jump, Just because it is a sport do you think they don't give out the orders and demands, Believe Me, United and the Premier League are the same people working hand in hand.

Has there ever been a rule change that does not suit United and stops them from progressing and winning silverware
Why can United be so shit and still be the biggest earners from the Premier League in TV rights money?

not being in CL in consecutive season with this Ineos money-pinching will be fun to watch. their only chance is to win EL but Sociedad imo will already be too much for Amorim.

their revenues were not bad last season bit that still was a season with CL in it, and Fa cup win. now EL only, hopefully no Fa cup and much worse league position. next season not even EL, so their revenues are about to take a downer...
and some sponsors may reduce their current deals a bit if its tied to regular CL advertising which they cant offer.

Ratcliffe will certainly look at some other cost saving options now.

However, like in any job, you can be influenced by wanting to please your boss.
So if you hear your boss making statements about needing certain clubs to be successful in the league, then human nature can come into play.
Just as negative press can create a negative human bias towards cheating Arab bastar.., sorry certain clubs who don't have American owners.

Another way to influence (and was reported by ex referee's), is to give them lower class and less well paying matches, after perceived decisions not favouring certain clubs. Although i don't think that is an issue currently.
