It's like we are living through the alternative universe of Peter Swales
It's like we are living through the alternative universe of Peter Swales
BlackBerry too, you don't see too many of those knocking around these daysHistory is littered with companies that were monopolistic, monolithic behemoths… that then didn’t adapt, change… because they thought the gravy train would last forever.
A most recent example is Intel… they had dominated the world of PC chips, but now they are staggering about, reeling from the continuing rise of longterm rival minnows AMD, and newer upstarts using ARM design chips.
The beauty is they will never accept publicly that they are years behind and will continue going for half-arsed quick-fix solutions. What do you want calling out? They are getting pelters left right and centre and it's hilarious.
I agree a different type of manager could come in and have a more basic approach that might be more beneficial for them, they are half trying to do the right thing by going in a different direction and the key for interim is he gets time to do it. If that is the approach then you need to give the required time and a few windows to get his men. That was the beauty of them keeping tent peg, he had the summer window to ruin them more.
Peps first year was an anti climax, and he had Yaya, Kompany, Gundog, Kdb, Silva, Aguero, Sane, Fernandinho, Stones and Sterling. We got handed a few slappings but we had a clear plan. They are years behind where we was so they would need to give him a whole lot of time for any kind of progress. They are stuck in the mud with little way out and I am here for it. Keep them languishing in the lower half forever more.
Yeah but the point was about you would or wouldn’t want taking a penalty. Seeing as he scores 3 in 10 when the PL average is 8.5 in 10, he’d not be my first choice.Has he not scored over 129 goals though for City.
A major competition apparently.....These slutchy twats are still in the europa league
If they bin the current manager off then yeah, if they stick with him and give him time, money and backing then that is them trying to do it right. They don't buy the name approaching the end of their career anymore by the looks of it and overpay for the privilege, they are trying which ,makes it funnierThe beauty is they will never accept publicly that they are years behind and will continue going for half-arsed quick-fix solutions.
And their trophy record in terms of pots/season is better post-GPC than it was pre-GPC.
The problem is they need to replace 11 players and have no money. They still owe £400m transfer fees for their current crock of shite squad. They are doomedunless they are taken over.
This is the weird bit, didn’t he agree that any further purchase was at a fixed price per share? $19 is in my head. So I guess he expected the share price to rocket way above that and he had a bargain. Currently at $14.66.Would not be surprised if this is all scruffy Jim’s plans to buy out the glazers when the rags are at rock bottom and he gets them for king size pizza with large fries and a piece of pecan pie.
What are they on now since the pisscan left, I'm sure it's near double figures & it's unlikely they give the job to Dyche or Allardyce who joking apart would do exactly thatBut whoever takes over might come up with tactics more suited to the players at their disposal.
It won't be pretty of course; it will be as simple as their fans, but nor will it be called out by the media.
You can throw Rashford & Antony into that mix as well as CasemiroSancho will only have a year left on his contract in the summer - and given he’s shit with a huge ego and wages to match they won’t be getting much for him.
Yes, with their goalie missing the eleventh penalty. Bit unlikely, I know ;-)Defeat in the final would be ideal…..
Chelsea agreed to an obligation to buy clause for this summer when they signed him on loan, the fee was £20-25m I believe. They'll actually be booking a profit on his sale as his value will be less than £15m.Sancho will only have a year left on his contract in the summer - and given he’s shit with a huge ego and wages to match they won’t be getting much for him.
Some how they managed to fleece Chelsea for a permanent move at about 25m I think.Sancho will only have a year left on his contract in the summer - and given he’s shit with a huge ego and wages to match they won’t be getting much for him.
No idea what you've been watching this season but a lack of effort is precisely what many have an issue with in Phil this season.Spot on. He is still our second highest scorer in a poor season. All great players have sticky patches of form but class is permanent. Phil still works relentlessly on the field. Never a lack of effort from him.
Needs to be in tune with the midfielders who are shite……..Like someone posted earlier - Hojland doesn't know the runs to make, if he hasn't got that basic striker knowledge at this stage of his career - he'll never have it.
