I know there are very many worthy candidates we could consider here but.....

Who else thinks Hojland is the biggest failure/waste of money and overrated player (term used loosely) to pitch up at the swamp yet?

He is absolutely hopeless, so ineffective and bland it's untrue.
We talking all time or just in the premier league?

I was talking to a friend yesterday who had been talking to a coach driver who also drives for City. He claimed that behind the scenes City are terrified of what United are doing with youth recruitment and with Amorin's potential. He listed a bunch of youth team players that are all the next class of 2030. I've not slept all night due to worry

Talkshite with a new nickname for TWGC

Their famous academy hasn’t produced a player that has gone on to win major honours in the game since family man Ryan, the chuckle brothers and the Toe sucker. If they stopped believing their own myths and shite peddled by the club fans and friendly media, they might get on with the job of becoming successful. They are lodged in the 90s like Tony Blair’s Nokia phone lodged inside a VHS video recorder because he can’t get The Spice Girls The Movie to eject.

The lad who begs outside ASDA told me a friend of his who begs outside Carrington told him exactly the same thing only last week

The modern day Garry Birtles. Brilliant at Forest, shite when he moved to "TWGC".

He's in the conversation but ...

Pogba will take some beating due to longevity.
Don't forget Alexis Sanchez was supposedly on £500k a week.
Anthony fee was £81m

I would struggle to argue with you Blue, as for goalkeepers they’ve really excelled at that down the years.

He is a worthy candidate, but the list is fairly long!

But, the worst has to be Mason Mount. Many people have forgotten that they signed him 2 years ago!!

Doesn't come close to Pogba or Lukaku
For me it's Veron. £28M in 2001 which is £155M in today's money. Lasted a season and a half and was so one footed Soccer AM actually had a piece of him every week showing how many times he used his left foot(It wasn't a lot)

That's not a bad shout but it's Lukaku for me as they gave Everton Rooney plus paid his wages which added another £30m to £40m to his transfer fee. Then you have Forlan who they signed on the back of one decent world cup & remember when they signed Johan Cruyffs' son.

But remember they don't spend any money on transfers & it's all the Glazers fault.

But a lot of players are okay before they go there. Maybe nothing to write home about, but adequate in what they do. Then the rag media goes into overdrive and tells us all this new player is the final piece in the jigsaw that will return them to the top. The fanfare begins, the ticker tape flows endlessly, the cheerleaders are out in force - and his debut is a flop. A resounding slap in the face to all those who followed the usual hype. His next game is so-so, followed by another poor show, then he's on the subs bench for the duration of the season. Within six months he's on loan to Hartlepool - rag career over.
But you look into the stats of the player and your start to think: 'Well, he was pretty good at (whichever club), and he was certainly scoring for fun at (another club), and it was rumoured that Barca were looking at him, so what the fuck happened?"

Answer: the rags.

The club is rotten in every department. Top to bottom.
