Quite appropriately it looks like a circus and as if it's being fumigated
The worlds greatest clown show.

This looks extremely far fetched to me. As others have said. The rags are saddled with glazer debt and there is no way that you can borrow to finance this and service all that debt.

And a club about to finish within smelling distance of relegation.

I suspect this is all the early stages of the rags looking for a middle eastern owner who might fancy taking on the project.

Presumably, if the chunks of the circus tent are being shipped and then floated up the ship canal as shown on the BBC news last night, some foreign country is to benefit big time from this being made in their country.

Typical of tax dodging Worzel to do it overseas. And, £2billion? He's just playing "think up a number" in the hope that someone'll cough up some grant money for his tin.

Just like the old fashioned circus ringmaster, carrying round his bucket for contributions. Hopefully everyone'll see right through the ****.

Scum.

They wont be the first club to finance a stadium and end up in the lower leagues, let's face it to keep them in this league the rule book on clubs finances is going to have to be torn up and the truth is going to have to be told.

RED CAP CLUBS CAN'T BE PUNISHED FOR FAILING FINANCIAL RESTRICTION RULES.

Amended circa 2025 as per scruffy Jim, Andy Burnham, Lord Coa and GNIAC's request.

It’s very odd they own the majority of the club yet there wasn’t either of the Glazers there at the unveiling of their biggest infrastructure project for decades.

Why was this not held in Manchester as well, if they didn’t think the swamp was the best place to hold a press conference there’s some very good event space in the city centre.

They are also making daft claims that this new stadium will have to largest indoor covered area on the planet. So it will be bigger than Boeing’s factory in Seattle then?

Last of all, we are being told it will take 5 years to build. They aren’t stating when any building will start, probably because they haven’t got a bank or financial institution onboard to give them the money. This crappy cgi video will be used instead to fudge their accounts to buy players whilst no building actually happens.

The same reason we don't hold press conferences in Dusseldorf. We don't play there.

The big tent thing they've proposed had me thinking about a song.
The tune is There's a Tavern in the Town and it's been a rag song in the past and I seem to remember a City version sang on the Kippax late 60's. Anyway, be nice to revive/revise it to fit the current circumstances.

There's a circus in the town, in the town
It's Jim Ratcliffe and his clowns, and his clowns.
They're got the Glazer boys, and a mascot, he's called Fred
And all the twats that play in red.

That is, without doubt, despite my obvious City bias, the dumbest looking THING I have ever seen in my life.
Bit harsh that - of all the mythical designs that will never be built, I think it's one of the finest.

No-one else feel thi has the exact same design flaws as the 'B of the bang' (i.e. the slightest breeze and you aren't allowed within a country mile of it on safety grounds)?

Seem to be unable to escape the crying rags no matter where I go but I found this piece to be particularly masturbatory.

They were perfectly happy for rich owners to step in and set them apart from the competition in the 90s and early 2000s when they were at their peak. Now as soon as the unfathomable amount of cash pumped into their club isn't winning them anything of note it's all "football's all about money these days so I lost interest".

No, you lost interest because you're shite and entitled.

SSN are reporting that United will sell the naming rights to the new £4bn stadium to pay for it apparently!

So lets get this right! Sir Jim is going to sell the naming rights to Old Trafford without the Glaziers realising?

He will then invest that money into building a new stadium over 5 years (without Glaziers noticing) but will still only own 25% of the new stadium? Whilst the Glaziers will then own a billion pound stadium by accident?

The Glazers have played a blinder, doing even less than before but earn even more money lol.
I really don't understand why a small shareholder doing all this work just for his 27% share ? The Glazers have got him to pay to work for them. Brilliant absolutely brilliant from the Glazers

So much to question on this.

1) where are the funds coming from
2) where is the land acquired to build this
3) what is this “south Manchester regeneration project” that is continuously mentioned by Jim
4) why are they “floating” the segments of stadium down the canal? Where are they being built to throw such a claim

If I was Trafford Council and a big company wanted to expand and than spend money doing up another City or borough, I wouldn't give them planning permission.
Surely Trafford Council have to say the rags have to regenerate Trafford first .

As an Architect I know fk all about labour costs, material costs or how to finance a big project. I have never known and I never will know. Developers usually engage a Quantity surveyor for this kind of tedious shite.
The QS must have a crystal ball then, if he knows material and labour costs 5 years prior to a build!
