This needs a @slbsn explainer.
I have a few things to say but not sure how it is best presented. I draft a tweet which one of the most boring I have ever written (thats saying something). So a substack perhaps. But that is so time consuming. Suffice it to say, United have had a lot of allowable deductions over the last few years. And the explanation of the £40m Covid allowance looks like nonsense.

Ahh, sorry mate. But I must confess that I don't need any excuse to go on a full-scale rant against that unspeakable filth that masquerades as a football club.
I hear you brother.

I'm the same. I've got a very over developed hatred for them.

It's hereditary in our family.

The article is very clear. The issue is really whether the rules are reasonable or if there is too much wriggle room.
Whether the rags fail PSR or not, I don’t care as long as we finish well ahead of them.
This might sound like an odd question, but if the Glazers put the money back in that they have taken out of the club, then would that be legal under PSR?

Why would they do that?

Because Scruffy Jim is paying them back under the table.

Just had a reply to my BBC complaint about Slimy Stones all expenses paid trip to South Asia. They admit he’s their Man United’s correspondent! No shit Sherlock ! Although that’s NOT his job title - I think that’s Chief Football writer. Apparently it was a valuable trip of significant importance, but they refuse to give details of the cost. Here’s the best bit they are recruiting other journalists to cover other teams! So I’ve asked them for details of the 14 journalists they have assigned to the teams that finished above United and details of who’ll be following each those teams pre season tours - on the basis Stone will be off on another all expenses trip to follow the Rags. The Beeb have clearly merged with MUTV.

I got the same. I thought he was a Manchester reporter? Why do I have to listen to his grating voice at City press conferences if he’s their correspondent?

Last year he was following them wherever they went and we didn’t even get a score update until hours after the game. And we were the champions. It’s pathetic that this fanboy follows them everywhere.

The line that got me was, “Recently, with the season having almost drawn to a conclusion, one of the talking points in the world of football has been Manchester United's post-season tour to Asia, which stood out amongst the calendars of all other Premier League clubs”.

Really? I didn’t even know they were going till I saw this prick reporting on them. It only stands out for fanboys like Stone. I can assure the biased pricks nobody gave a fuck about this tour. Even rag fans didn’t.

Like many I complained about the extensive Simon Stone coverage onthe BBC and received this reply , probably similar to many others on here

'Thanks for contacting us about the BBC Sport website.

Simon's role is to report on Manchester United for BBC Sport. He is one of a group of senior journalists that cover specific Premier League clubs for us. And we're currently advertising more roles to further widen this pool. As you would expect, part of Simon's role is to cover key events involving Manchester United, and this is the same as our other writers following their assigned club at key times.

We can assure you, that we’re always mindful of the costs and finances behind putting together our output, while at the same time trying to provide the best possible service to our audiences.

Recently, with the season having almost drawn to a conclusion, one of the talking points in the world of football has been Manchester United's post-season tour to Asia, which stood out amongst the calendars of all other Premier League clubs. The tour had prompted much discussion and debate, with the team flying to Malaysia almost immediately after their final match of the season.

In this context, we felt it was newsworthy for our audience to feature an insight into the tour's progress. The tour wasn't without incident, and saw several widely talked about moments, including an open top bus tour before United's loss to ASEAN All Stars, where the team were booed off by a large proportion of a 70,000-plus crowd. Amad Diallo was pictured giving an obscene gesture to fans, there was speculation and tension around Alejandro Garnacho's future, and we were able to gain access to several press conferences and interviews.'

With all of this in mind, we feel this brought value to audiences, but we recognise you may continue to disagree.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We’ve discussed your concerns with the team at BBC Sport, which helps inform decisions about current and future content.

I changed my BBC login screen name to ‘SackSimonUtdJolliesStone’ and tried to post- the post was instantly (ie automated) moderated and removed.
Which indicates they’ve setup algorithms that identify when he’s included in users handles.

A month ago, I sent off a missive to BBC verify asking why Stone goes off on jollies and produces 95% of his output about one club…do United pay for him, and why does the bbc only cover ver United (and to a lesser degree liverpool) in such quantity. got a generic reply about receiving it, but doubt it’ll go further.

If the BBC have finally confirmed what we all know, that he is the Rags PR man, can we not ban him from our press conferences and ask for th BBC employee responsible for our club to attend.
The fact he has the role of chief football reporter and chose to ignore the European Final involving Chelsea to jelly off abroad on a pointless friendly for the Rags sums him up.
And how is this pointless friendly a key event. Guarantee we won't have a BBC member with us for the CWC (thank god)

It would be the first time in history if they are. The rags have always been beyond criticism, protected from any negativity, 'looked after' by the tabloids and the major broadcasters.

FFS! Hatchet job? You verminous bastards, try being in our shoes, or any other Prem team (aside from your fucking besties the dippers, of course). We buy a player for £20 million and we're ruining football, we're the club that endlessly flaunts its wealth by snapping up every and any player that becomes available because we can afford it, and it stops any other club getting the players. Renta-quote Twitcher with his famous 'blown us outta the wa'er' comment still resonates in people's memories when it comes to us and our transfer dealings. Yet no fucker in the media dares say a word of criticism if the rags go out and spend £150 million on a player, same with the other red cunts from Anfield: looked after.

Why is the money the Sheik has ploughed into the infrastructure in the City never ever mentioned by the British press? Why is the once dormant area around the Etihad now a thriving area of commerce and business not mentioned by the press in this country?

The press are doing a 'hatchet job' on the rags, are they? Let me know when they start, you bunch of cretinous pond life, you are the media darlings and always have been.

SCUM!
Always enjoy your quality rants about that lot, KB. Keep it up...:)

Fk the bbc,oh and sky of course and tnt In fact all of em Hateful b@st@rds

Kieran Maguire “Everybody is looking at the New York company - Manchester United plc but there is another company called Red Football which is owned by the Glazers and that is forming the basis of the PSR calculation.
"The losses at Red Football Ltd are far lower than they are at Manchester United plc so therefore the extent of the damage is far less than originally envisaged."

Nothing to see here….

Hahahahaha

I’d dig out my post if I could be bothered but I said on here the day he joined them that Brailsford would sack off that circus sooner rather than later once he saw what a ramshackle bunch of amateurs they are.

Good news for the cycling team anyway to have him back.
