They’re certainly better than they were. But that’s a low bar given they very nearly finished 4th from bottom last year.

How far are they off a genuine title challenge though? Miles away

City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and probably Villa will finish above them. I also expect Newcastle to get thier arse in gear as well

In all likelihood they will finish between 7th and 12th

Highly unlikely they get the CL spot
There's always the rescue act of a Uefa rule change!

This is how bad they have become, that losing but playing half way decent is seen as an upward trend, lets put some perspective on this supposed upward trend, in their last six games they have won 2 of them, one a credible win against palace even tho they were absolutely battered in the 1st half and palace gassed out and against wolves who city under 8s would currently beat, the other games were a 1-0 loss at home to a 10 man everton, a 1-1 draw at home to a bottom three west ham, a 4-4 draw at home to a bournemouth team who hadnt won in the last 6 and who at weekend drew with burnley at home and a 2-1 loss to a villa team who put in their worst performance of the season.

So if this is what constitutes an upward trajectory let it continue.
Amen to that

We are in a good cycle with Pep. The cycle has lasted 8-9 years, but it is still a cycle all the same.

And, not that I need to justify myself, but I've been a blue since the Gillingham game, a season ticket holder since 2003, and a member of this forum for 16 years (on and off). I've had this "new" account for longer than you've had yours ffs.

As I said before, posting anything vaguely reasonable about United sure does get people wound up.
Rag

how many times do Gill and co need to change the rules to help them ? 5th place , europa winners , now talking about a place for history clubs ffs
Meaning clubs who have an entitlement but are now shit. Uefa can see the money rolling in with TV rights, 'cos that's the only way these entitled 'history' fans watch their football.

They shouldn't have lost at Villa, but they need at least 3 goals to win a game and Sesko and Cunha lack Haaland's quality.

We need it to stay that way with United finishing outside the Top 5 and not being able to fund any new signings whilst also seeing Fernandes and Casemiro grow older.
