Yes Daisy Nook Country Park is still there, I walk the dog occasionally , lovely spot for a stroll.
The fair arrives at Easter now iirc.
The M60 between j22 & 23 runs along side the area between Daisy Nook & Littlemoss.

Taking it up the carpet.Is that a euphemism ?A young couple bought it from the people who bought it after he died. There was a lovely story about them taking up the carpet in one room to find s load of paint splashed on the floor.
