I haven't but your not telling me the transfer rumours haven't encouraged many who may have lapsed their support over the last few years to come back to the fold.

Did think about that but it's maybe not for the season ticket money, but more for the kudos of a full stadium. My whole post was more aimed at cook saying the other day he didn't want to hear the typical city phrase anymore. Well for me our transfer efforts since he has been here sum up typical city just as much as any of the teams performances on the pitch. And the eto'o saga reminded me of the john barnes one all those years ago.

I think we are trying to punch above our weight maybe a bit too early trying to get Terry and Eto'o now. BUT Buster Douglas wouldn't have got into the ring with tyson if he didn't think there was 1% chance that he might pull it off. So we are right to ask the question, but wrong if we they are the only targets with no Plan B. At the end of the day Chelsea made it public not us.

But to say it was all a ploy to get ticket sales up is totally incorrect for me. We are going for la creme and we will get tham, maybe we need another couple of years to build and build but soon, and for the rest of your life, the best players in the world will don the blue of our beloved club

You've missed my point as well as abusing me. Obviously our hard core support renew their tickets regardless of players, division etc. However there is a massive pool of city fans who don't go anymore. I know two lads I used to stand on the kippax who have just bought their first season tickets in 10 years. The thought of signing the top players and having success was the reason for their comeback.
I'm sure there are many others like this. It is ok to say you should renew regardless of who we sign or don't sign. For most of us that is the case. The fact remains though the sudden extra surge in sales is down to the rumoured signings and the success that would hopefully follow. Call them glory hunters if you like but I think you'll find a lot of the people coming back are lads in their forties who were disollusioned and have now had their interest prodded again.
Finally try a reasoned argument instead of calling someone a cock, that what a forum is all about.
