Upson

IMO both Lescott and Upson are both very Average. They are simply not the calibre of player that will get city where we want to be. Toure is. So is Vinnie. I think both Ned and Micah can be with time. The kind of player we need is Hangeland, Carvalho, Alex, Fazio....top class talent.

Imagine a Toure/Carvalho partnership :-) OH HELL YEA!!!

P.S. Why hasn't anybody mentiond the fact we REALLY need another right sided mid. If SWP gets an injury the only cover we have is Weiss. Don't get me wrong i really like the lad. But i don't think he's quite ready yet. The only other option in my eyes is sticking Ireland out there, and that would be a waist of our best CM......

Hangelaand has had one season with Fulham and i fail to see the "top class" talent Alex posesses. Don't know much about Fazio.

Imo, the only one who is a marked step up from a plyer of Lescott's ilk, is Carvallho, and we wont be getting him anytime soon.

I actually think weiss is up to it, if he ever has to come on. Hes got to be played some time so why not when swp has an injury.

Toure and upson would be a very good pairing much better than the other options we currently have available.

The only problem I see is hes clearly third choice, will he want to move in world cup year with this in mind and also Southern lad settled down there ?

West Hams owners are desperate for money that much is certain.

Is Upson better than Dunne?

Is Wheater better than Dunne? - Villa rumoured to be interested. If true, I would never query the shrewdness of O'Neill.

Is Onuoha better than Dunne?

We need someone in this week.

I am better than Dunne! Im with you on this we are absolutely desperate for a new centre back this week! We have had a great Summer in the transfer market but to see Dunne walk out at Ewood Park at the weekend will seem like a miserable failure!

Anytime Alex has been paired with another top class CB (Terry, Carvalho) he has looked class in my opinion mate. He is sadly under used at Chelsea. I think he would jump at the chance of a shot at a City starting birth. And i think he would be very solid alongside Toure, Vinnie, Ned or even (if he sorts himself out) Micah. Although i think Hughes will play Micah at RB.

If SWP gets a serious long term injury. Then i have real concerns about throwing young Vlad in at the deep end. I still think we need cover in that area. Also we should look at bringing in someone as cover for Stevie Ireland.

Dunney looks out of place now sad to say. Upson would be decent. Hangelaand would be better.
