Fits the bill for me hope we can get it done quick. Lescott is going to be very pissed off but his own fault.

I think Lescott and Upson are of a similar ability to be fair, Lescott gets noticed more because of his goals. Neither would get in a top 4 side but at least we won't get ripped off for Upson to the extent we were for Lescott. If Lescott was that desperate to move to us he'd have gone public, he hasn't and Moyes/Kenwright aren't playing ball (fair play to them) so we move on. I'm not convinced Upson is much of a step up but if we sign him we should all get behind him and hope that playing alongside Toure will get the best out of him. He was at the heart of the defence for West Ham last season and they finished above us, so he must have done something right!

Get him signed up !!!

Exactly - his own fault as you say - he is either too gutless or too greedy to put in a transfer request so move on City

I think thats a respectable back four. I still think we'd be better of getting a super star CB from abroad but I'd be happy with Upson, he's a clear improvement.

Hes 6 ft 1 inches thats not small ! The only negative is he doesnt get any goals really.

Very underwhelmed.

Another player that isn't top quality, is way too expensive, old and injury prone. And will need to be replaced in a year for us to continue to move forward.

Its down to who is actually available at the end of the day as we have seen with Lescott. Hes played 68 games in the last 2 seasons for West Ham thats hardly injury prone.

As for the fee no word yet, but £10 million ish wont be bad business IMO. Hes better than any of our other central defenders (Apart from Toure) WHat do people really expect ?

Upton Lark put a link to a thread on there a few weeks ago and they were all saying they hoped we could break the top 4.

The general consenses was that they hoped we would break the top 4, but they thought we were "arrogant cnuts" to qoute one poster.
