In the context of the hearing's, it is funny to watch. In reality it's a clear demonstration that the legislative process is essentially broken which in turn means their precious Constitution that every single one of them swore an oath to uphold and protect might as well go in the bin.
I'd accept that it's a bad sign, and there is clear previous evidence that anyone not doing Orange's orders gets fired.
There is a chance that Bondi will stand up to him. Can't predict the future, although I doubt she will - she might find a way around to get to the desired outcome.
The hearings are so formed by the partisan positions that they're all a bit pointless apart from allowing grandstanding and sucking up to Orange. That's the part that makes the rest of the process look flimsy.
