That was an embarrassing waste of tax dollars.

Unless McCarthy decides to compromise and seek support from Democrats, the government is going to shut down.

The silver lining if shutdown occurs, is that Democrats have a clear opportunity to attack Republicans for this.

They found polls in some states giving Biden 10 point leads and likewise Trump in others.

As you say. When the nominees are finalised the polls start coming into play more significantly.
