Remember those who were offended so much by the Black Lives Matter movement? Didn't they say All Lives Matter or White Lives Matter too?

Fair points tbh imo so I expect them to be appalled by these murders and demand that these murderers to be be arrested immediately.

Has Infantino got a Plan B?

I suspect he's got a ready made bolt hole created via a shitload of ill gotten gains.

Oh sorry you meant for the world cup?

Tbf FIFA is such a shitshow right now that I'd really not be bothered if it took a failed WC to rid it of some of it's fetid leadership.

Not sure this video proves anything but its slowed down so a bit clearer to see for people to judge the situation. Looks like the mace or whatever it is they sprayed him with was overkill to start with

He was an icu nurse apparently so likely a good bloke. Seemingly executed in the street for standing in the way of a man who had just pushed a woman to the floor

Very interesting to read the posts from people in the US here btw

I'm currently living in the US. I've got the perfect opportunity to go to a couple of games, but there is no fucking way I'm going anywhere near it. I seriously hope they sell out all the Canadian and Mexican games sell out and the USA ones fail miserably to fill the stadiums, including the final.

Once twice maybe even if he had a gun he meant to use.
Ten times FUCK OFF YOU MURDERING BASTARDS
I'm presuming by your user name, you know the ROE backwards? And you'll have had the name Lee Clegg drummed into you at some point. 10 rounds would have landed you in Colchester faced with that situation.

Even if he'd been pointing his gun at them, 1 round would have done it, because despite the Hollywood portrayal of guns and shooting, one round is usually enough to neutralise a threat, even if you shoot them in an extremity.

It was escalation on the part of the ICE agents, which is exactly the opposite of what you should do in that situation.
Attempting to de-escalate the situation is always step 1 conflict resolution. I've done many training exercises in conflict resolution and crowd control, and this is drummed into you throughout.

In fact not getting involved in the first place is the better cause of action. The guy was simply exercising his protected First Amendment rights to protest alongside the woman who was forcefully thrown to the ground that he appeared to be trying to protect, and his Second Amendment right to bear arms by possessing a holstered, legally owned and permitted firearm.

ICE simply did not need to engage him whatsoever, even if he appeared to be goading them or shouting insults. They WANTED to engage him. They caused the confrontation, they escalated the confrontation and they assaulted him before executing him.

You and I both know that had he brandished the weapon, most of those CBP agents would have emptied their magazines into him…and he would have taken 50-60 rounds, not 10.

“Neutralizing the threat” isn’t about exercising restraint in the face of a lethal threat, it’s about stopping it from moving while it’s still a threat.

I see a lot of videos online of people protesting in MN, and part of me thinks that it's great to see the pushback. But a much bigger part of me feels that the reaction to these incidents consistently comes across as relatively muted.

I don't know if it's because of fear or culture or what, or maybe I'm wrong and I'm just not looking in the right places. If that incident we saw yesterday happened in most European cities, that city would be on fire by now. Mark Duggan's death at the hands of police led to a week of riots and looting here (I'm not condoning or endorsing property damage by the way). They tried to move the pension age back in France by a few years and 450 protestors and 100 police officers were injured over the course of 4 months from constant protest. 100,000 people turned up in Budapest to March against Orban. 300,000 were in Belgrade last year on multiple occasions protesting their government.

But in the US the usual reaction is a few hundred people with signs - it always looks fairly sparse, they all go home. Some celebrities say how bad things are, the talk shows highlight the injustice and then everything just carries on as it was.

Like... where is the fucking white-hot rage? Am I way off base here?
One clue: after the murder by ICE today, there were no reporters from legacy media in the city. All reports are coming from independent journos and little on line stations.
