You and I both know that had he brandished the weapon, most of those CBP agents would have emptied their magazines into him…and he would have taken 50-60 rounds, not 10.

“Neutralizing the threat” isn’t about exercising restraint in the face of a lethal threat, it’s about stopping it from moving while it’s still a threat.

Most of those CBP agent would have shot each other. It was a tactical clusterfuck, and almost a circular firing squad.

In fact I'm surprised none of those 10 rounds ended up in another CBP officer or worse a bystander.

ICE CBP simply did not need to engage him whatsoever, even if he appeared to be goading them or shouting insults. They WANTED to engage him. They caused the confrontation, they escalated the confrontation and they assaulted him before executing him.

I'm presuming by your user name, you know the ROE backwards? And you'll have had the name Lee Clegg drummed into you at some point. 10 rounds would have landed you in Colchester faced with that situation.

Even if he'd been pointing his gun at them, 1 round would have done it, because despite the Hollywood portrayal of guns and shooting, one round is usually enough to neutralise a threat, even if you shoot them in an extremity.

There were load on here that said it first time round about the e-mail lady, and alarmingly more that a handful saying that Trump would be better than Harris after we'd all witnessed the disgusting mess that was his first term. Some of the excuses were staggering, and I had to bite my lip on more than one occasion with certain posters. Good posters have even fallen by the wayside and left the forum altogether because of the bile and hatred on this and other similar threads.

Thankfully, some of those former pro-Trump posters have admitted they were wrong, and quietly disappeared off this thread. Some even stayed around. Many have chosen not to admit they were wrong, which leads me to believe that this is exactly what they wanted from his administration. Basically, if you think that Trump and his merry band of ****'s are still the lesser of two evil's you are on the wrong side of history and you can fuck all the way off, and that is about as politely as I'm willing to put it.
