He seems to be a fall guy. Someone to take a load of heat wile the grifters grift. How can he seriously report no bank account and no assets. That is the easiest thing in the world to disprove. Where does his government salary go?

Johnson is a far right Christian Nationalist. He's Speaker because he has the support of the far right faction in Congress and because, unlike Jordan, he hasn't incurred the animus of fellow Republicans. The only good thing about the Johnson Speakership is that he's so out of touch with the values of average Americans, that he'll likely be a drag on Republican election outcomes in '24.
