Confirmed he's dropping out of the race.

The last vestiges of resistance to the Mango Mussolini dissolve with his departure.

Probably the right thing to do though, in the grand scheme of things. Christie was pulling about 12% in New Hampshire polling, votes which will likely now go to Haley and give her a (very slim) chance of picking up a win there. The latest polling shows her only 7% behind Trump in NH if she picks up Christie’s second choices, so if a few more candidates drop out after Iowa it could happen.

Christie was a spoiler candidate - he wasn't ever going to win but for the anti Trump people within the GOP he was making the points that they wanted someone to make. He's played that role quite well. The problem for them now though is the anti Trump vote is split between the rest. Hayley or Ron D need the other to drop to have any chance. And no sign of either doing it. If one did then Trump would have a fight on.
