The worst thing about some Americans obsession with abortion is they don’t give a toss what happens to the child after it’s born.

Will it be safe? Will it be properly housed? Will it be fed? Will it have access to decent education? They don’t care about any of that. They just don’t want it to be aborted. After it’s born it can starve to death in a ditch for all they care. It’s fucking ridiculous.

The other issue here is Kavanaugh and Barrett specifically saying they believed Roe was "settled law" when queried during their confirmation hearings. They either changed their minds (and they better explain why in parallel concurrences, not just sign on to Alito's opinion) or they lied.

Lost in all of this is the leak, which best I can tell is unprecedented. Assuming no one steps forward, this will be a fascinating "Deep Throat" type mystery.

I am truly amazed at how the so called leader of the Western world can be so backward in certain things.

What about those who get unwanted pregnancies by being raped.

I always found it strange on my many trips to the USA how people always asked you what religion you belonged to. They seemed to think it was something compulsory.

Most of them have never left their State never mind the country, basically clueless about the rest of the world.

The thing about the leak is…it doesn’t actually matter. It’s not a crime. Roberts is going to ask the FBI to investigate which is unbeleiveably dumb because if they catch someone the worst that can happen is…nothing. Maybe an ethics issue if it was leaked by a lawyer.

There’s only about 20 people who could leak it so I suspect they’ll be found, but I don’t think it’s a given it’s a liberal and not a bragging conservative or a conservative who actually cares about the law who is outraged with Alito just erasing 75 years of law on a whim with nothing to base it on.

It could also be Gorsuch, he's right wing but respects the law more than Alito, ACB, Thomas and Kavanaugh who will completely invent stuff to get to the conclusion they want.

I've seen a few people suggest it could be Ginny Thomas given her loose lips and connections to QAnon and the Thomas' disdain for him being independent and impartial.

There's a thread somewhere that makes a compelling case that it's Thomas. Wants to "lock in" opinion before moderation edits by the slightly-less-conservative justices that might soften it.
