That had crossed my mind along with assault rifles.

They seem to have dragged themselves straight to Fundamentalist, so I assume it's all part of a big game leading to American Civil War II.

But there are less extreme candidates to vote for.

It think this is a matter of semantics, possibly to make the centre-right feel better about their lack of action, but I imagine I am not going to change your mind (nor you mine) on the subject, so we’ll have to agree to disagree, like proper centrists.

Once more, with this latest EPA ruling, they are beginning to even go beyond the “originalist” framework in to something even more dangerous: “because we said so”.

That will be the framework for many more decisions to come.

The Secret Service itself has made no comment. Engel and his immediate boss Ornato, who have both called Hutchinson a liar, have been outed as Trump yes men. I know who I'd believe. And it's not the blindly loyal yes men of a serial pathological liar.
 
Again, the significance of the rogue far-right court accepting this case, in the context of what they have done thus far (only the beginning of them reversing decades of precedent and social progress), cannot be exaggerated.

 
A Silver Lining?

If there's solace to be found in the tumultuous, unprecedented political maelstrom the USA now finds itself in, it's that circumstances are so outrageous that voters could well decide that they've had enough of the right-wing agenda: Roe v. Wade overturned, mass shootings continue, SCOTUS blurs the line between church and state, the former President clearly guilty of seditious conspiracy, and so on.
