I am praying he runs, and that DeSantis does too. And once Trump loses the nomination (if he does), he runs as an independent. It's ALL going to be about saving himself because he believes the "shield" of politics allows him to continue to call these investigations "politcally-motivated".

He is hoping that running for president as an ex president will allow for the documents to be off limits. The whole thing of being president for him is a ruse to cover up what he does or has done. They fund Fundamentalist Christian Nationalists running for School Board positions in BLUE (Dem) districts.

Once elected, they make LEGAL last minute changes to what can and cannot be taught in that school district. This, of course, brings the Christian Nationalist agenda once reserved for private Christian Nationalist schools into our public, tax funded, schools!

At the recent CPAC, Don Jr was on stage telling people to change their mobile carrier, and outside the Convention Hall, where they sell all the right wing crap, Patriot Mobile had the full litany of Right Wing politicians (Boebbert & Cruz were just two I saw in video) shilling for them while shilling themselves!

Patriot Mobile is based in Texas (shocker!) and they’re using EXACTLY THE SAME TACTICS AS WERE USED IN FLORIDA AS DESANTIS PUSHED THE CHRISTIAN AGENDA ON LOCAL SCHOOL BOARDS THERE!!!

As events unfold and evolve, so too does my opinion on the state of US politics.

The Supreme Court's recent anti-popular rulings, especially the overturn of Roe v. Wade, seems to have impacted US politics already. Democratic and neutral voter outrage so far seems to outweigh Republican rejoice on these rulings.

And, seemingly out of nowhere, Biden has managed to pass several huge bills in the legislature in spite of razor-thin margins. Biden's popularity is on the rise accordingly, in spite of inflation (which is attenuating somewhat - but complete control over inflation if it ever occurs is a years-long prospect).

And Trump's reappearance into front-page news propelled by his refusal to turn over top secret documents at Mar-a-Lago both enrages the MAGA Republicans and infuriates Democrats. Some neutrals and traditional Republicans seem to be less inclined to vote for Republicans in light of Mar-a-La-gate.

Thus the previously unimaginable is taking shape - it now seems that Democrats may retain control of the Senate, and have an outside chance to retain control of the House.

Now - it seems realistically possible that the USA will remain Democratic instead of becoming Fascist. It's a close thing though - only time will tell.
