Is it wrong that despite living in the UK I am almost more concerned in the USA election than the UK general election?
I really can't see this iteration of the Labour Party doing much to improve my lot in life, but as I head towards retirement, I am planning on buying a place in Bulgaria to retire to as I could afford to LIVE there rather than just about exist in the UK, but if mango Mussolini gets in, I can envisage Putin being emboldened to return the Soviet block to the same as the cold war era.

A lot of countries are preparing just in case Shitgibbon gets in as his election will affect the whole geo political structure.

Sean Hannity and all the Maga commentators are saying that Biden’s speech was so powerful he must have been on Drugs.
Can they stoop any lower?

They got a message from Trump. "I'll have what he's having."

Not a bad speech at all. But will never take the US seriously until politicians stop mentioning god.
The colonies were founded by puritans. The modern version thereof is still a fair chunk of US society. That’s why every president has to pretend to be a Christian, even Trump.

Not since they removed the reproductive rights of half of the population. Nothing will be lower
Wait till they try to ban contraception and ‘recreational sex’ or introduce criminal law into gay relationships. They have talked about all this. Frightening. Pity the gay man enjoying a little recreational sex while wearing a condom.

No God, no getting elected. Sad, but true in 99% of locations even today.
That's why, although Europe is viewed globally as a declining force, I feel it still has an important voice, in a world where as you say, religion trumps everything.

It doesn’t trump everything, but we have yet to see atheism, or not espousing religion, being an integral part of any campaigns of which I’m aware.

Turns out Nostradamus had nothing on Margaret Atwood :-(

I was thinking more of places like India, certain African countries, Iran, Saudi etc

Obviously god is not mentioned at election time in the UK. Blair's spin doctor Alastair Campbell famously advised when George Bush wanted to meet Tony in a cathedral, 'we don't do god'.
