Both loons, but him moreso. He's a dangerous loon, she's just someone who seems to try and say "profound" things and then failing badly and ending with a complete word salad.
I take it they could nominate someone else? Please say yes.
I believe the nominations haven’t been confirmed as of yet.

Think it's august isn't it? Anyone but Harris if they aren't going with Biden.
The issue is only Harris is polling at anywhere near a level to be competitive with Trump, and only she can inherit the Biden campaign war chest, so anyone else would need to essentially start from scratch fundraising.

Strange, I don’t have a subscription and am able to read it without issue.
I think that The Atlantic tracks your IP and gives you a certain number of free reads, after which you'll need to start a trial or subscribe.

Serwer raises some interesting points. However, I still think that Biden should declare that he's not running for reelection rather than resign if he wishes to pull out of the presidential race. For example, Biden could state that he's resigning to spend more time with his family.

As Vice President, Harris could argue that she has ample qualifying experience for the office of President; actually serving as President up until the election is, I think, unimportant.

Moreover, if Harris were the Democratic nominee for President with Biden retaining the office until Jan 6th, she would likely have more time to campaign than if she were both nominee, and President - with its attendant duties and obligations.

Finally, the 25th Amendment states:
Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

The Republican-controlled House would block any nominee for Vice President, and take full advantage of the vacancy to attack Harris and create political mayhem.

Interesting, thanks

He might just be having flashbacks from 4 years ago, let's be honest he isn't playing golf with anything other than a 9 iron.

Respect to the fella for what he's going through but shame on the ones that are propping him up day after day like a number 11 target.

Looks to me as a casual observer that Joe Biden is being gently (for now) nudged out
Was watching MSNBC this morning. Brzezinski on Morning Joe is pushing the agenda for Dem's to ditch him. The problem is that it's becoming a circular firing squad. Trump will just ride this out and let the left-wing media stir the Dem's us into destroying themselves.

Report from the Independent hints that the writing has been on the wall for months stating:

Biden has not held an extensive press conference in which he takes questions from the majority of the White House press pool in months. He’s held the fewest such media availabilities of any sitting president over the past six administrations.

Second time today Ive read that expression. Cant remember where I read it first or who said it. I must have the same cognitive issues!

Seems a lot of the Liberal podcast and YouTube channels have give up. Trump ahead in every swing state and its more let's keep his majority down. Presidency, House, Senate and supreme court, he could have the lot.

Project 25 is in the cards.
