Sad. Just found a Gallup Poll from 2015.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Three in four Americans (75%) last year perceived corruption as widespread in the country's government. This figure is up from two in three in 2007 (67%) and 2009 (66%).

On top of that we already know the decades long collapse in the public trust in the media and Congress specifically.

I mean they're not wrong, are they? Literally a system of legalized bribery and bought votes.

That's not really a "point".

The point is Trump can't be a racist Nazi dictator under any circumstances to you, because then you'd have to admit you supported a racist Nazi dictator.

So you see why perhaps your perspective on whether those appellations are or are not accurate is not especially objective.

Now notwithstanding your comment about not liking being targeted with the term "racist", if you were the rare sort who didn't mind admitting it ("I like Trump BECAUSE I'm a racist"; AKA like the KKK), that's another kettle of fish -- but I'd still think those labels of Trump weren't accurate.

That said, some of the rhetoric he has used reminds me of past and current Nazis, past and current racists and past and current dictators.

No. You are missing my point. I was called racist because I said Trump would be the better candidate. The worst of a bad bunch you could say.

Now it seems that the world isn't going to change and 'we should get along' is the key thing. My original question still stands

I think things got a little hysterical on here in the lead up to the GE and a few posters seemed to want this thread to be a democrat anti trump safe space for whatever reason. Anyone that veered from that was accused of being at least a rabid trumper and often equated to Nazis. You can probably just shrug it off as their problem, not yours.

It's nice to have them clarify this though.. imagine the rhetoric on what Trump would do if Kamala won.

I'm not trying to score political points. You don't hear me whining about him pardoning his son. I mean, I already said many times before that's what he was trying to do with the DOJ and it's what he would eventually have to do.

The only thing I've ever pointed out was the hypocrisy of the people who pretended they believed he wouldn't when he kept saying he wouldn't.

Those people were either duped, or pretended to believe it in other to claim some sense of moral superiority.

That's why a bunch of Democrats on TV are whining and turning into pretzels. They are struggling to eat their cakes and have it too
