He's pardoning people like the January 6th committee and officers who testified about what happened on January 6th. So that's just people giving and reviewing evidence and doing their jobs. The pardon is stop the incoming president financially burdening them once he gets Jan 6th struck from the record. You have no idea whether they have done the right thing or committed no crimes and are innocent. Nobody does.
I'd like you to imagine what you would say if Donald Trump pardoned his son from any crimes and then preemptively pardoned a bunch of people that his political rival is accusing of committing a variety of crimes before leaving office. The calls around fascism, cronyism and dictatorship would be deafening.
But it's your side so I guess it's ok.
I may have bias' but on Jan 6th I certainly know who was right and who was wrong.
Now Trump may never have gone after them agreed but if he does release the Jan 6th prisoners as most expect, then I'm going to assume he would have.
In fact if he appeals this pardon then we'll all have our answer.
