If I am understanding the concept right, people pay a fee (tax) to be protected and serviced (insurance, life assurance, health, education, police, etc) by a corporation that has a constitution that you buy into. People should feel safe and amongst peers. The corporate culture should be positive in your eyes. Some could be more waspish, some more liberal, some more rural, some more urban, some with an emphasis on sport, some with an emphasis on art, some with an emphasis on humour, etc. You choose what values you believe in, how you want your kids to grow up and how you want to grow old with nothing uncontrollable (unlike today, eg like phones for kids, social media warriors, preditors etc).

Also conflicts (wars) could be avoided if all the corporations adhered to a set of predetermined rules. This could be especially true if an advanced AI ensured that the macro level relationships were thought out 10 steps ahead so as to avoid issues. And AI determining the economic balance to ensure that no corporation became unsustainable. So peace and prosperity for all.

It all sounds like nirvana. But could it be trusted? Billionaires would still be cunts.

And this population could be proper Irish with music, food, drink, craic, sport, art, and us all happy as Larry when not working on whatever we need to keep it all going.

Again nirvana but how could we trust this not to be perverted so as to be harmful to the diddlyidlers or the ones we fenced off as nonbelievers.

You can never prevent the perversion because these people are power hungry and will manipulate the system for their own benefit. As they say: All power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Whether people like @Dax777 like or not, no one will trust the USA ever again in the same way, they’ve become too powerful and I see a future where no one relies on them in the same way, if they really start pissing people off their bases in foreign countries will be fucked off the less reliant countries become, a bit like the Russian oil and gas, once countries find a way to go a different way they will. If Europe get their act together and don’t rely on USA military as much their sphere of influence decreases more and more, I’m hoping EU leaders are having discussions right now behind closed doors to do this. We cannot unfortunately trust the USA anymore.

I don't think it'll be the majority of the current law enforcement involved (some of them will). Its as if he's let out all of his heroes from the insurrection to head that law enforcement in the near future.

MAGA is claiming that US AID gave $8.1 million to POLITICO last year for "subscriptions", and that POLITICO received a total of $34 million from the U.S. government. For instance US AID paid $443,998 for just 37 subscriptions to Politico for FDA officials.

Fair and Just Prosecution (FJP), a George Soros-backed organization dedicated to electing progressive DAs received $27 million from US AID.

Nina Jankowicz, former head of the Biden administrations short-lived Department of Homeland Security's Disinformation Governance Board, was also receiving funding from US AID.

Apparently Bellingcat and The Kiev Post and the BBC have all received money from US AID.

Meanwhile two former Politico reporters, Marc Caputo of Axios and Tara Palmeri of Puck, admit their ex-employer blocked negative stories about Joe Biden and Hunter and their ties to the Ukraine.

50/50 on whether any of this turns out to be accurate.

When Trump claimed "20 years ago, Autism in children was 1 in 10,000. NOW IT'S 1 in 34. WOW! Something's really wrong," in reference to RFK's nomination, the real figure turned out to be around 1 in 150 not 1 in 10,000, so I'll take your 'MAGA is claiming' with a huge pinch of salt.

This is what I dont understand. They've fought over it for decades and finally seem to have levelled the lot of it in preparation for settlement just for Trump to come in and declare it owned by the US.

Is Netyanhu hoping the US army finishes the job, rebuilds and deals with the insurgents but Israelis are allowed to live there?

I really don't care that you aren't in the least bit interested in finding out what US AID has been spending money on or why. This is the U.S. Politics thread. It isn't your fucking safe space where you can whine and cry every fucking day like an obsessive about Donald fucking Trump. You and the rest of your friends on here don't dictate content and editorial policies. You people really do believe you own this place and you are so fucking easy to trigger.

Trump's claims about vaccines and autism have literally nothing to do with this. Your TDS is one of the worst I have ever seen.

But if Richard Maddow cited "anonymous sources" claiming US AID had been funneling money to Red State or Breitbart you'd be turning google redhot trying to find out if there was anything in something so fucking outrageous as an agency of the Federal government funding right-wing media organizations.
