That's why we have sports pubs here Chicago, the games are in the afternoons here and the pub keeper has to pay for it to keep his business solvent.
Tbf, I’ve done my share of going to pubs at 9am for a full English/Irish in my time, including the 30 minute drive to get there. Those days are over in my 60s!

Now, I roll out of bed into the TV room for the afternoon kickoffs (0900/1000 here) and have to set an alarm for City’s lunchtime games, which start before the Sun comes up!!

I remember one memorable layover in Portland, Oregon, where I found a pub that was going to be open for a City vs Liverpool game. Set my alarm, because even a 3pm kickoff is early early on the West Coast only to wake up to it raining cats and dogs!

In for a penny, so I donned my gear, trudged a mile or so thru the deluge, only to find myself the only Blue in a sea of Red Dipper fans!!

Sat down, ordered, and was pleasantly surprised I didn’t get my head kicked in while celebrating going up 2-0 before HT.

A couple of the lads were complimentary about City, but this was back in the Typical City days, so I explained how it wasn’t over yet!! Sure enough, City lost 3-2!!

For those of you who can recite names, dates and scores, I’m sure you know when that actually was, but I couldn’t remember to save my life!! Maybe late 90’s, early 00’s?!

Thank goodness Comcast/NBC/Peacock has every PL game on now and it’s in the next room or on my iPad while overseas!!

Harris first interview since losing the election currently on MSNBC with Maddow.

Softball as expected, and lots of book promotion. Although there has been a funny line where Harris refused to make a speech about her race saying Trump is baiting her. If she did that he'd then say she's not a woman. The vice President speech after that allegation she would have to flash her gash to the whole world to prove she was.

It's big business you should be worried about, pharmaceuticals and medicines are one of humanities greatest solutions, it's the business side (it's always the business side that ruins everything)
What the US needs to keep drug prices down is some communist organisation like…er…the NHS.
(The silliest argument I’ve ever heard; by that definition the US army is a communist plot.)

Can Trump and his cronies really do this and get away with it? Clearly not backed by any sufficient research, they're happy to profit and play with people's lives and wellbeing, and the links to personal gain are here for all to see. There have to be protocols and safety nets in place?

This could destroy the companies producing one medicine, see their employees made redundant, and see thousands if not millions being guinea pigs for a flimsy, unsubstantiated claim that one medicine is damaging and another is a lifeline.

When will America wake up en masse and see they're being taken for fools by this orange goblin?

I think it's probably that the FDA could withdraw/amend advice on its use, and then the insurance companies will force the doctors to kowtow.

That they're reportedly promoting a self-owned other brand is just naked corruption.

This is a feature, not a bug.

Power to Trump to make arbitrary decisions means money to Trump (and cronies) to shape what those decisions are.

The US govt is now a cross between a cult and a crime family.

Best summary of the facts I've seen.

Regarding a possible link between acetaminophen [my comment: this is paracetamol aka Tylenol] and autism:

While a recent summary analysis found some evidence for a weak association, it does not evaluate the quality of the studies informing the analysis. Importantly, these studies fail to address the fact that fevers during pregnancy are known to increase risk for autism, and that’s why mothers take acetaminophen in the first place. Rather, the most recent, rigorous study that controlled for unmeasured familiar risks found that acetaminophen did not cause autism.

Regarding folinic acid (leucovorin):

There are only a handful of clinical trials of leucovorin and evidence connecting treatment to improvements in outcomes is very weak. (See references) All of them are very small, and the study designs and approaches to statistical analyses of the data are not all of high quality. It is premature to claim that leucovorin is an effective treatment for autism and add autism as a secondary indication.

Vaccines and Autism:

Dozens of studies demonstrate the role vaccination plays to protect individuals, particularly the most vulnerable in our community, against potentially fatal diseases. There is no evidence that routine vaccinations have any connection to autism at all.
