Prop 50 passed
Shocked! Shocked, I say! ;-)

While I appreciate CA can neutralize TX restricting, but the other Red State restricting is STILL GRABBING 4 CONGRESSIONAL SEATS, and SCOTUS is going to rule on things, so…

However, Newsom’s speech was fantastic and anyone who wants to be the Democratic nominee in 2028 is going to have to beat him.

Would love to see a Newsom-Buttigieg ticket in 2028, because they come across as the two smartest guys in the room AND have good ideas on how life should be in America.

Some good news!
Whilst it is I don't think Americans in general will see it that way. Especially trump supporters, obviously, but also some of those middle of the road voters.

But my main worry would be how the extreme Right will use that and weaponise it for votes.

The guy himself seems very progressive, has some good ideas, I hope they don't get lost in a sea of hate and racism.

He aint going to get the Democrats base's vote until he stops taking money from Aipac. It was a horrible interview he gave the other week on this topic. Other than that he's been good attacking Trump.

Voting in a woman as governor in Virginia was a certainty!

It can't have helped much that Agent Orange pulled funding for a big NJ project last week, and it's been widely reported about the effects of layoffs and the shutdown in Virginia.

What is prop 50?

Proposition 50 proposes new lines for many of California’s 52 congressional districts, which would negate the five Republican seats drawn by Texas. Under the proposed lines, Democrats could gain up to 5 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives.

I wholeheartedly agree. I've been very impressed with Buttigieg for some time.

But...and it feels so sad to say it, I'm uncertain whether some in the US can bring themselves to vote for a gay man.

Haven't liked him.much before but his speech last night tied all the Dem wins together and he'll aim to ride that wave to 2028. But I think he will want a woman as his VP candidate so will be watching how the new governor of VA does her job in the next couple of years.

Expect the the violence to start ramping up in blue states.
Feels really positive this morning but that administration and the puppet masters behind it aren't going to shrug this off as fair play.
I await the vengeful, petty retribution somewhere and somehow...amazing wins for the Dems last night but the 'war' feel like it may be still on.

The usual media outlets will be leaning in and start ramping up the rhetoric bigly in the lead up to the mid-terms.
