US Presidential Election, Nov 5th 2024

True. "Michelle" was a forlorn comment. But at least she wouldn't have had the weight of being Biden's VP round her neck. And she IS a far better speaker.

Trump would beat her aswell. One round of rallies and the whole Internet is calling her big Mike. They needed a sharp, intelligent charismatic young MALE to go up against him. The American population has proven twice they will elect literally the most unsuitable candidate possible over a woman.

We had three threads on here that were all just basically outpourings of hate/rage/ fear about trump and anyone questioning Kamala's suitability, popularity or likelihood of winning was pretty much abused. Mostly by the characters that have now largely slunk off after weeks throwing their treasured opinions around like facts.
No, not slinking.

Trump's still a ****.
(in my opinion, of course.)

The democrats problem started with Biden deciding to run again and the total shambles that followed with no other option than Harris to stand at such short notice

Swearing blind the obviously and clearly incapacitated Biden was all there was a massive error aswell. They tried to take the public for idiots, anyone could see the guy was completely gone for years every time he appeared in public it was a fucking horror show. Harris never polled well with the public. They had 4 years to do something other than what they ended up doing.

Ah well, glad I don't live there anyway. At least the memes will be good.

What do you think the problem was?
I think it’s a few things -
1) The country is further right than many of us would like it to be and those people are voting on emotion not specific policy
2) The radicalization of young white men
3) Social media’s (and media in general) sowing of discontent and misery and Dem’s inability to understand or control it

And most importantly -
4) an electorate that is unhappy with the incumbent
