This is such hyperbolic nonsense. I really wish I can bet 150 of these jabronis $1,000 each, put it in a conservative dividend growth fund and when the is a 48th President of the United States in 2029 then winner take all !!!

Hell, sleepy joe just invited Hitler to the White House and vice president Kamala will have to certify Pol pots victory and hand him the keys to the kingdom…..

I'm always puzzled that people don't see that the inverse is also true. Lots of people who want to censor free speech jump on the 'hate speech' bandwagon when what they really want is carte blanche to moderate what others are allowed to say.

As for misinformation, the problem often always becomes who gets to be the judge? Before Elon bought X, people in the left loved the community notes and censorship. Now they hate it and threaten to leave (or are leaving) all the time.

But from the Twitter files, we already know that they were just as heavy handed if not more so when 'they' ran it.

So it's ok to be racist if the racists can be identified and then rehabilitated? Would it not be better if there were no racists at all, and the victims of their repulsive mindsets were spared? And for what it's worth, you can't change the nature of a racist, it's entrenched; it's why there are still pockets of staunch neo-nazis in Germany, despite the history of the nation and the continued introspection.

By your logic, it's ok to pickpocket and set buildings ablaze because we can just lock up the thieves and the arsonists.

Of course it’d be better if there were no racists at all.

But you must live on a different planet to me.

What is your solution?

Edit: on one hand all Trump voters are racists, on the other 51+% of the people want Trump in charge.

Maybe you should split the states up for each category, one for each… oh.

Or be the un-united states?

No it's not ok to be racist. But it's worse to censor speech. It's not that anyone wants racist speech. It's that they'd rather have free speech

Almost got it. It's not okay to pick pockets or be an arsonist. Yet some people are and we jail them.

But 'racist speech's isn't really like 'arson' now is it. It's much more nebulous in nature.

For example: 'People of Color' is not racist but 'Colored People' is... Even though one is simply the inverse with less words. "Blacks" isn't but "the Blacks" well can be. If someone you already deem racist, says it. "Kun Aguero" is just one of our favorite footballer of all time. But if you are in the States I'd just suggest you stick to Sergio.

This doesn't even begin to even examine the different cultural sensitivities around speech and usage.

We are all most protected when speech is most free.

I think the fundamental difference is that a post on social media isn’t classed in the same way that a print newspaper would be.

Therefore, someone with millions of followers can “publish” something on social media to far more than people read in a newspaper, despite those papers not being able to print overt racism.
