has it somthing to do with europe because if we finsih 4th wont we still have to have qualifying games

Looking like we will be in Europa or Champions league, so this will involve us being in qualifying rounds. If we finish 4th or 5th the first leg play offs are between 17-19 August.
If we finish 6th first leg qualifier will be 29th July with 2nd leg on 5th August.
Do'nt jump the gun with booking things just yet, as a game could be cancelled if we end up sixth.
This may have changed with portsmouth getting to the fa cup final and going cap in hand to EUEFA for a place.

cheers youve explained it better than me

As a US City fan, but perhaps more importantly here a college student, I couldn't be more disappointed about this announcement. Financially it just won't be feasible for me to make it and with them so close it's going to feel like a hammer blow, even though they are meaningless games.

cheers i will book All July of at work & get an open ticket to any where in the States thanks for the info !!

Exactly.Unfortunately the club seem to be only wanting to confirm anything when its 100% nailed on now speaking from expereince after booking Cape Town last season only to end up in Polokwane though club did look after us. Unfortunately the more days go by the more expensive are the planes, hotels etc and dont expect Thomas Crook to come in with an affordable package.
It is going to be one big guessing game on here till it is sorted

Is this confirmed?

Not confirmed, but the person who gave me the info has given me all the correct pre season tour details for the last eight seasons.

Hope you are right Maine Stand, as The Washington Post have us here in Atlanta on July 28th....and i would much prefer to be 'on-the-lash' on a Saturday than a Wednesday night :-)

Man City, AC Milan, Americans abroad, RFK
*An update on the proposed Manchester City friendly against Club America at Georgia Dome in Atlanta on July 28: The date is set. The arena is reserved. The U.S. Soccer Federation, which oversees international matches played in the States, has granted approval. Club America will be there. City's participation, though, will hinge on its finish in the Premier League and subsequent European obligations. A replacement club (I couldn't find out the identity) is in place in case City has to withdraw from the Atlanta match.

Ehh.. all East Coast? Spread the love City!

That's exactly what I'm thinking. I'm extremely disappointed they won't be visiting somewhere in the midwest as I can't take time off from my coaching duties to head out east to catch a game. I'm very very disappointed. I'm happy for the U.S. blues that do get to catch a game or two, just wish I could join in.
