US/UK launch strikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen

So make an under table deal with the houthis that as long as they only attack Israeli ships there won't be an escalation of the conflict.
You'd think by this that they have us over a barrel however we're the ones with aircraft carriers, fighter jets and cruise missiles. We can end their ability to target those ships very easily without stupid deals, especially deals that in essence agree to allow a foreign, non-ally entity to target an ally.

I think the deal is quite easy, stop targeting ships in international waters or face the consequences.

They've been fighting the Saudis for years. Yet they are still here.

Maybe it's not realistic to think we can stop them entirely.

It also creates pressure on Israel to end a war that isn't in the interests of it's allies.

Do we want Israel "defending itself" any more than they already are?

Not really. But that was kind of implied in my post. Iran misbehaves and becomes an international pariah and Israel gets a wagging finger, for far worse.

Cut off the tap and let them deal with the consequences of their actions.
