My brilliant theory: City and Real have agreed a deal for Isco. The deal depends upon City selling Negredo and Real getting Falcao. City want X amount for Negredo. In order to pressure Valencia into stumping up the 'big fee' City want, and to scare Falcao into lowering his demands, Real have leaked falsely that they're interested in Negredo.

Madrid won't lose Di Maria, Alonso and Isco in the same window.

Theyve brought in Kroos, Rodriguez and have Jese to return from injury too. They also have Illaramendi to play the Alonso role. If they get another striker i think Isco is the one at most risk, can't play deep like Khedira, Kroos, Modric or Illara and will have stiff competition in Rodriguez and Jese for #10.

too expensive IMO for what he brings. Swansea are quoting 25 million i think

I think its pretty obvious that City are prepared to sell if the price is right, and with that in mind I can only assume we have a deal to bring someone else in, but at the moment lack the funds.

We don't operate like that anymore. If we're letting him go, we will already have agreed a price and personal terms on an incoming player

I'd be very surprised if Negredo left this window. Can't see it happening, and don't want him to leave. He was outstanding in the first half of last season. Obviously his form dipped after the injury at West Ham, but we'll need him this season.
