Valencia in for Negredo?

Was amazing for us before he injured his sholder then did nothing at all after Christmas.

Strong rumours his family have not settled in manchester and want to go back to Spain. If he wants to leave we don't have much option really. If falco is the best option replacement wise not sure he's had a very bad injury and did nothing at Monaco.

I guess at this stage there are no better options, Negredo won't be fit for a couple of months anyway and really with the games we have coming up we need cover now.

Bet Falcao can't wait to be a cover player.

I am worried about rocking a relatively happy boat. But how happy is Negredo ? Not very apparently he doesn't want to be cover either and his family have not settled at all apparently.

This is the deal - if it happens then Falcao is on his way here
Transfer deadline day: Alvaro Negredo could move from Manchester City to Valencia

Move may open up Falcao move to the Etihad
TOM SHEEN Monday 01 September 2014

Alvaro Negredo could make a move to Valencia today, possibly opening up room for Manchester City to bring Radamel Falcao to the club.

CITY'S HOPES OF FALCAO FADE

City rate the Spanish striker at around £20m but Valencia are unlikely to afford that fee and could instead take the 29-year-old on loan for a season before paying the full fee next summer.

Valencia president Amadeo Salvo, director of football Francisco Rufete and Kim Koh, right-hand man of owner Peter Lim, met with Negredo's representatives in Madrid on Sunday night and are reported to have verbally agreed a deal; it is now up to the two clubs to agree on the terms of the transfer.

Negredo enjoyed a very good start to life at the Etihad before an injury interrupted his season and he lost form.

He is still injured and was left out of Manchester City's Champions League squad, reduced because of Financial Fair Play sanctions.

Negredo scored 23 goals in all competitions last season, but just nine of those came in the Premier League and he failed to score after returning from injury in February, a run of 16 appearances.

Falcao is being linked with several clubs today - City and Real Madrid are restricted because of Uefa's Financial Fair Play, while Arsenal, Manchester United and Juventus are all linked with moves for the Colombian hitman.

Will be interesting to see what happens now, it seems by all accounts he wants to go. He has apparently agreed a drop in wages and his family are ready to go back to Spain.

On one hand we need him to stay to provide us with quality cover and ability to rotate but on the other hand we are letting a player go who doesn't really want to be here and we are getting a very good deal in terms of 25m euros for a player who is nearing 30.

Txiki could well let Negredo go and know that we have a guaranteed income next summer to get a deal in place for someone next year.

A hell of a risk though leaving us with only three strikers.

have to let him leave now, it's gone too far to bring him back.

I don't like the idea of keeping an unhappy player but we won't let him go now even if we won't get a better deal next time because a loan with an obligatory €25m fee was great business in my opinion.

He will leave in January.

Gutted if Negredo goes
but if rumours of his family being unsettled are true, he has no option.
Let's just trust the club to make a calm logical decision.
Txixi will get it right again no worries
