If he's replaced with Falcao then i say ta-ra!
Similar age, both injured but Falcao = goals
What and Negredo doesn't = goals?

The club don't need Falcao.

Falcao had his chance to play in top clubs to prove he was world class, however he turned down that opportunity in favor of money. It showed his lack of ambition if you ask me.

Think its just paper talk tbh but if a club did offer over 20 million I think city would bite there hands off considering Negredo is 29 and hasn't scored since January.

City would let Negredo go, but he has more options. Real Madrid have taken note, (SER)

Going crazy...

I may be wrong but I don't think we'll go for Falcao if Negredo leaves. We have money but Falcao would be the most expensive loan deal ever and Monaco would then want £30m+ next summer for a striker who will be 29 by next season. And who is coming off a bad injury and whose motivations have been questioned lately.

Plus we have Aguero and Dzeko, two strikers Pellegrini has great faith in, so Falcao might be one superstar striker too many. Negredo has the right profile, he's not a superstar name and it's just about OK to have him as a #3/#4 striker, so it's a real shame if he leaves. But if he wants to go, it's probably better we let him.

Replacements? The next great number 9 could be Mauro Icardi, but I can see our club avoiding such a dickhead like the plague after he stole a teammate's wife and bragged about it. Luiz Adriano, the best striker at Brazilian talent factory Shakhtar (Fernandinho, Willian, Douglas Costa). 27 years old, 25 goals last season, currently linked with Roma as a replacement for Destro. Destro, another we could consider but I'm always wary of Italian strikers. Locally, there's always Wilfried Bony and Loic Remy, both of whom want huge wages but have scored goals...

Also keep in mind that Jovetic has the potential to become a Van Persie-ish striker in the future, so we might not need an A-lister like Falcao to replace Negredo.

IMO Falcao used Monaco because he wanted Real but A Madrid would never sell to them, he stayed for a year then goes to Real.

The problem for Falcao is he suffered a injury and Real opted for his mate James.

If available we IMO will be in for him and with the dippers turning to Mario and Valencia showing big interest in the beast then this is a possibility

I honestly think if we could sell Negrado and bring in Di Maria (which by all accounts is not impossible) we would have a complete squad.

I would say we have the strongest squad in the PL. However, Chelsea's wide men give them an alternative option that we don't have. In players like Hazard and Willian they have players who can work hard off the ball, beat a man for pace and take a man on. That's something we are missing. I had hoped that Navas would have been that guy for us but he seems unable to adapt to the physicality of our league.

When we played Barca in the CL we were crying out for that player who could just run with the ball and relieve the pressure from our defence.

Furthermore, the only thing lacking from our squad is a DI Maria/ Robben type player.

Although the news about Di Maria wanting out broke today, we've known he was available for weeks - so I'd have thought that if we wanted to do that deal, we would have done it weeks back (i.e sell Negredo and buy Di Maria)
