Valencia in for Negredo?

With dzeko, aguero and jovetic tied to long term deals. I think they are enough. If negredo leaves i hope we replace him with an attacking midfielder. Someone who provides goals but also gives the squad a balance. 4 strikers is too much especially when with fernando we have the opportunity to play a 3 man midfield more often.

yeah I wouldn't replace him with an out and out striker. An attacker who could play higher up if need-be ie Isco etc

Maybe having Falcao would be a top striker too many so if Negredo does leave then I would like to see an attacking midfielder/ winger come in.

I would consider Lavezzi, PSG are willing to sell him so they can afford to get Di Maria, that would stop United getting him and we get a top left winger in who can score goals.

Isco is another option but I doubt very much we will be seeing Madrid letting both him and Di Maria go in the same window.

I do think we should keep in mind the age of the player, we need more youth in my opinion.

Reus would be the dream signing.

I agree about the attacking midfielder option,i think such would play to our strengths and suit our style better. It also gives us the added security of a replacement should anything happen to Merlin.

Not very fashionable, but if this deal does go through I'd rather avoid dropping a current player from our CL roster (like Jovetic, MDM, Navas who some are nominating) and just promote a younger player like Hiwula for the season for Cup games.

If we ever play one up front it'll be in Europe, and between Kun, Jovetic, and Edin you'd assume that one of them will be fit. If injury disasters bite us in the ass then the damage would be playing one up front in the league as well. But I feel like Jordi is ready to take League Cup games, and the early FA Cup ones as well pending first team fitness.

Save the money, save dropping a current player from the CL, and spend the remainder on Reus next summer.

Or offer a decent fee for Reus this season leaving Dortmund not risking losing him for €35m next summer.

I reckon if we offered £40m it would make Dortmund consider.

Reus would be immense in our team in my opinion.
